First reaction upon seeing this fic posted:  I immediately finished the title with "...When You're Expecting!"  Then I read the summary and giggled like an idiot.

First reaction upon realizing this really is mpreg:  I hope they name the baby Neal!!!!  (Followed quickly by me deciding I'm lame.)

Poor Peter that it doesn't take much to make him into pretty woman.  But Milo does have that look about him where he is more of a pretty than a handsom man.  (Randomly, I just though that Jon Hamm would make a terrible woman.)

Also, is it weird that while this is definitely cracky, it's also kind of angsty? *laughs*

Heh, yeah, it's the best I could do. *sigh* I hate titles.

I put cracky crossover in the A/N, didn't I? Just saying... ;)

You know, I've read girl!Peter fic before, and it's always been kind of difficult for me to picture him. It strangely helped a lot writing him myself. But anyway, yeah, maybe what really helped was the knowledge that not all that much would change.

Not at all, I cranked the angst way up.

I know this story is totally based on White Collar discussions and inside jokes, but I'm going to go ahead and pretend I inspired this fic XP

Girl!Peter = awesome
Mpreg = awesome
Pregnant!Girl!Peter = Super Awesome!

I think the idea of Claude leaving is an interesting choice. It makes sense both because it's something Claude would do and also because it's never made perfectly clear in canon how much control Peter has over his newer ability (whatever the plot requires I guess :P). Still it's sad that they're going to be separated until baby time.

Poor Noah being thrown into the mix of this crazy stew. Can't wait to read the rest.

We-ell, I guess I just wanted to try my hand at the trope and see what I could come up with more than anything.

Yeah, I suppose it's perfectly possible that Peter could control his touch-empathy enough for it not to be a problem, but I do think if it was the life of his child at stake, Claude wouldn't take the risk no matter what.

Hee, yeah, this was my first time writing from Noah's POV for an extended period. It was interesting.

Thanks veryu much for reading, look for the next chapter on Tuesday!

Oh, MPREG: how you continue to baffle me. This is not a genre I've ever gravitated toward (I can't help it. I find it inherently ridiculous) but I do believe you make it as grounded as possible. Claude's need to leave is something rarely considered in this fandom; but it makes sense, given Peter's ability. It was a nice little jolt of logic.

I'm curious how you will proceed with this. :)

I feel the exact same way about mpreg (actually, sometimes it even prods my appropriaton button a bit), but... well, actually, it was the idea of Claude leaving to prevent Peter from accidentally losing the specific ability that made me want to write it. Basically I was more interested in the angst factor than the mpreg factor.

Anywho, next chapter'll be up early on Tuesday. Very glad you're liking it so far!

*laughs* You weren't lying about the angst. But I'm still glad to finally be getting a chance to read this.

After she was done laughing at him, she had several, ending it with a deeply sincere, “Good luck.”

Hee. Oh Sandra. And oh, Noah, being the one to help take care of Peter. That's got to be a fun task.

:D No, ma'am. Yes, ma'am.

Any inclusion of Sandra is always a wise choice. Ye-eah, poor Noah, but when you think about it, there really isn't a person better able to handle the situation- someone who knows both Peter's and Claude's issues while also not having an ability.

I didn't even consider that problem when the mpreg option came up, but it's a good point.

*snort* Ages ago it would've been Mohinder, and the comedy potential there would've been great, but...no, Noah was probably the best choice.
