Awwww! That was so adorable. I love that Claude practically fell apart just from the idea of being broken up with Peter. :D He needs his poodle after all.

Oh, breakup fic. I'm surprised we don't get more of it; there's no way Peter and Claude could get along well enough not to end up having some pretty major disagreements, if not actual break ups. But this is probably how it would go. I'm honestly not sure which one of them would take it worse, after what they've respectively been through.

Words have never been his friends, only his weapons.

Loved that.

Also I'm awful but I'm mostly just intrigued by what Claude could've possible done to warrant a Peter freeze out.

Heh, or the closest to break-up fic I'll ever come, because I'm a wuss like that. But, yeah, realistically, it would be a miracle for these two to last. And it would probably be pretty messy when it ended.

This was a nice mix of angsty and sweet. Agreed with visiblemarket that there really should be more Plaude temporary break-up fic. They both have so many issues when it comes to relationships that it makes sense they would get scared or insecure or just have difficulties at first.

I'm also intrigued as to what Claude did and how they work it out... but I shall also choose my own (mis)adventure here. Unless you decide to write it!

Please do. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a gradual build up of various jerk-ish behaviors that Claude wasn't really putting an effort into modulating.

Don't listen to the others. There should be no more break-up fic. It must only be happy and fluffy and good. I have spoken.

But, as always, you managed to capture so much in so few words. Claude's worrying was palpable. Excellent work.
