A/N: For the Plaude Bingo prompt "dancing." Of course, with a prompt like that this had to be a little multimedia- just open the link in a new tab/window when you come to it.
Summary: Claude's late to the First Annual Company Holiday Party.

It was important to you. )

challenge, fic

That was quick! And I think it gave me a cavity. ;) But I am grinning like an idiot and I don't care!

Awwww, this was really sweet and nice. First of all, I love Peter taking it upon himself to organize a holiday party. And of course Claude would want nothing to do with it, but looking at Peter would make him feel guilty about that.

And the dancing was very romantic-- I love the song choice! There's something very pretty in Peter and Claude dancing, invisible to everyone else. It's a nice mix of a public/private moment.

It also amuses me to think of Claude mingling after this. Hee.

Thank you! Peter's such a little morale-booster, and Claude's so.. not. But, like he says, it's important to him, so Claude has to learn to go along with these things. Peter and Claude dancing invisibly is also a favorite image of mine, so there wasn't much point in stalling when I got tagged (even if it's unlikely any DJ has "Moonlight Serenade").

Even if it frustrates Peter when Claude is slow to come around, I'm sure he still appreciates the eventual effort. Maybe Peter could have made sure there was some Moonlight Serenade mixed in since he hired the DJ. ;)

Peter's gotta be aware what he signed up for with Claude- thank goodness he's got that endless well of forgiveness. I'd hope that would be the case for the DJ, I don't know how that works when you hire one.

Aw, dancing fic always makes me so happy. &hearts

Peter points a finger at him from around his champagne glass, “Holiday party, okay? We’re all inclusive.”

*snort* Oh Peter, you politically correct sweetheart, I love it. Claude teasing him about his hair was also precious.

Also, nice title ;)

Seriously, though! I don't know what it is, but the two of them dancing is utterly swoon-worthy.

XD I tried to work in some banter amongst the sugar lumps.

Hee, that was the very last thing I came up with- it was hard. I actually wanted to use it for another fic, but I picked something different for that.

Thanks very much!

It really is. I kind of considered the dancing prompt a couple of times but couldn't come up with a good story to go with it, so I'm glad you did it instead ;)

It wouldn't be them if you didn't!

Hah, well, it's a good song.

Yeah, that is a trick, working out a plausible excuse for them to dance. I had fun with this, for sure.

Indeed. And since my next should be sadly banter-free, I'm glad I got to indulge here.

*sigh* Dashboard Confessional isn't the worst of the Boy Bands With Instruments Instead Of Dancing, but it still kind of irks that they wrote such a screamingly Plaude-y song.

This was super adorable! Especially the dancing (and nice touch with the link to the song. Interactive fanfic :D )

This is just lovely--the image of them dancing together made me ridiculously pleased. I enjoy how comfortable they are here. It's such a nice change from the angst their relationship can bring.

They let the music wrap around them for a while. Claude reaches up to run a hand over the back of Peter’s head and makes a face, “Ah, so that’s how you got your hair not to flop for an evening- shellac.”

Hah. I could hear Claude in this.
