I am a resident of Georgia and I know all about hot humid summers..even though we have no large water masses in Georgia..so the humidity is bewilderment..

But I loved it and Peter was very cute and Claude was just right as always..

As a resident of Washington, DC, aka, Swamp City, USA, I also know about hot humid summers. And while I know live in a wonderfully airconditioned fancy house, as I child, I was stuck in apartment-with-a-window-unit and rotating fan that didn't exactly work. So...the point is...heat sucks.

True; I don't know what it is about DC, but it gets the worst weather ever, cold and heat wise. It's a crazy place.

Winter, probably; around December, before it gets absolutely freezing. Or autumn; early spring is pretty nice, because of the cherry blossoms, but there's also a lot of people.

You should! If you want to go sooner, I'd suggest mid-November. It's nice and crisp by then, and not freezing cold, and there's not a lot of tourists.
