I'm not going to try to get all 14 songs done for FAWM this year. Number 7 may be my last unless the muse strikes, but I still count this years FAWM as a success--I feel like I've got one really good song out of it, and a couple I might use in circles. It sure beats last year's zero songs.

Help! Can you help defang a tangentially related earworm, by speaking its true name?
There is a song whose chorus goes: "On duh-da-duh-da Road (repeat)"
But I can't recall anything else about the song, because what's going through my head is: "In Lydian Mode, in Lydian Mode," and that's drowning out the other words.

Um, the squirrel song seems perfectly in squirrelly character. Fun!

Scientific names and Lydian Mode, plus a chorus with "neener neener!" What more could anyone want? That's a great song.

Sorry I can't help with "On duh-da-duh-da Road," but now I'm earwormed with:

Country modes, take me home
To the scales where I belong;
Diatonic, mountain minor,
Take me home, country modes.

Although, like you, I've been playing uke lately and not so much dulcimer.
