The sky didn't clear up until after the library closed yesterday, but I got another pretty decent sun shot with my new filter:

And then around noon today, I got another shot:

The seeing was a little worse (turbulence from hot air rising off the street I'd guess), and the one good shot has a little bit o' vignetting at the bottom. But it was enough sharper that I picked it.
Today is my first day of spring term. The weather is looking so nice, I might not do any much real teaching and just do the administrative stuff and look at the sky. But I have until Thursday to get ready for the eclipse. I also hope to draft a student or two to model safe solar viewing in preparation for the coming eclipse.
