Canon 550-EX flash shoe repaired thanks to US Camera
At a wedding this summer my unattended camera and mounted 550EX flash were knocked off of a table, breaking the plastic flash shoe foot on the flash, but leaving the metal shoe on the camera completely unharmed. It turns out that the correct part from US Camera was only $10.30 + $3.50 shipping. The swap took about 10 minutes and I have a working flash again. I suspect they sell a lot of these, but I can't fault the design because it kept the expensive camera out of Canon Professional Services' grubby hands.
