Peter had been walking home from work when he heard the alarms. Within seconds, he had ducked into an alley, changed into his Spidey gear, and took off towards the sound.
The bank was only a couple blocks away, so it took no time for Spider-Man to get there, swing down, and land on the hood of the getaway car as the pair of robbers were rushing out. A couple weblines and the robbers were disarmed. "You know, usually criminals try to run away now. But I like that you aren't," Spider-Man said, making not of the shocked looks on the faces of the robbers. "It makes my job that much easier. I'm still going to tie you up, though."
"YOU SICK FREAK!" somebody yelled.
"Wait, what did I do?" Spider-Man asked, looking around to spot the complainer.
"Dude, are you actually getting off on this?" one of the robbers asked. The other one just looked horrified.
"What do you mean?" Spider-Man asked. He seemed to be drawing a crowd. Most of them weren't exactly looking him in the face. He looked down to see what they were staring at... "Ohmygod. I... I... I'm so sorry." Spider-Man heard the police sirens indicating that his presence here was either unnecessary or had caused somebody to call the cops on a public indecency complaint, so he jumped off of the getaway car, swung to a rooftop, pulled his pants out of his backpack, and put them on.
"I need a costume that clings less down there," the pants-wearing Spider-Man told himself as he swung away from the area and towards his apartment as quickly as he could. He was just going to go home and hope that nobody got pictures to post on the internet.
[OOC: Yes, this is how I bring this event into Peter's life. I've seen pictures of people at cons in Spider-Man costumes who learned this very lesson. Those pictures will haunt me forever.
