Hip dates and how to Rock the vote (Stern style)
First,
They bumped my surgery to Apr. 26th without consulting me.. Yeah it's ok (I guess) but it still irks me. Ah well.. So.. No marathons for me until late June or early July depending upon my healing time..
Second,
I love (and I never thought I'd say this..) Howard Stern.. Why you ask (good question)?
He and his fan army along with the website votefortheworst.com have irrevocably damaged reality TV. They have skewed the voting results on American Idol so badly it's made national news.. The "people" have spoken and it's pissing off the hosts and producers and network. The movement to keep the worst singer (some poor soul named Sanjaya I guess..) in play has been a rousing success and I love it.
I hate.. HATE "reality" TV.. It's the worst of our culture promoted to the Nth degree. Greed and selfishness are the prime content of 99% of these shows.. Given our nations inability to mind our own business (see "Gay Marriage") it's no wonder these shows are so popular. It's the worst of us, our nosy neighbor side, brought to the front and held out as acceptable behavior. (it's not you know..).
So rock on Mr. Stern... I hope you kill the beast.
