Today I went and met with the Cardio specialist to reschedule my heart procedure. Looks like we are a go for late Feb or early March. I'm less freaked out by the idea now (oh I'm still nervous, but nothing like before) and am in fact sort of looking forward to it. The Arrhythmia landed me in the ER two weeks ago and thats just gotta stop, it's such a royal pain the ass. So, surgery..
Surgery...
Ok so whats the worst that could happen? Well, Stroke or Heart attack is a low risk possibility. Historically the biggest oops is this: They could kill the healthy electrical node and I would end up with a pace-maker..
I've researched this Pace-maker thing and really it's not as bad as all that. Modern Pace-Makers are reactive, they allow for varying pulse rates, so I could continue to do the physical activities I enjoy. Yep all the outdoor stuff and um.. indoor stuff as well. (hey thats important, and for all you know I meant weight lifting) is all still a go!
So, 2007 will be the year of surgery... Feb - Mar the heart and then later the Hip replacement..
They can rebuild me, stronger, better, faster....
Wish me luck..
surgery,
heart,
again
