Well,
I'm beat.. really just beat. The Holiday weekend was four days long (and I do mean long) and yesterday was crazy, so I'm still playing catch up on the whole "rest" thing. Now don't get me wrong we had a blast, Thanksgiving was cool for sure, Dad was uncharacteristically mellow and sister had an old school friend over to share in the day. Dana and I did a goodly share of the cooking and everything went fairly smoothly. It seems much of the old family holiday tension has left us. I'm hoping we can have the event at our house next year..
The following three days were super sweet. Friday was a trip on the train to Old Sacramento with friends and Saturday we headed up to Volcano for a 2nd Thanksgiving diner, then Sunday we did our X-mas shopping.. It was a fun, frantic, and very mobile few days. Which of course left everything we didn't get done over the weekend for Monday, so that was a day of cleaning, yard, and house work, on top of a regular work day. So as I said, man I'm tired.
Today has been a day of repairing broken-ness at the office.. so far all is coming together fairly well... And people are starting to calm down, mostly..
