------can people consciously control the unconscious?
first the examples, urinary tract. i mean everyone learns how to control their bladder, how to hold it in, and thats not really a skeletal muscle so its supposed to be involuntary, yet with age we gain control.
counterexample, there are two rhymicity centers that control breathing inside the pons of the brain stem...need i say more, well im gonna: by the time you learn how to control or readjust your unconscious breathing patterns you'd probably be dead.
i want to go into out of body experiences, but i don't know too much on the subject. anyone care to share?
------how much control do you have over your unconscious? or vice versa?
well when i was in middle school i was a loser this one day playing touch football in the field this guy comes out of nowhere and tackles me, i don't have the ball, so immediate i get up, "im going to kick his ass", thats going through my head, but suddenly i hear someone respond "stop" this was all going through my head, but for some reason my whole body seemed to seize up and stopped.
I consciously wanted to go, but I unconsciously couldn't go, of course if i did i would have gotten my ass beat. the point im focusing on is that all conscious control was shutdown and only restored when i walked off the field.
.....
can't think of anything else so i think i'll end it here.
