hey orlando, i found a very good program that scans and removes spyware for free.. no key needed ever. but i still need a little assistance; though the spyware may be gone, the problems are still standing. the program did help clear a few things but i still can't open any folders, my computer, aim/yahoo messanger, or windows media player

it might have just started off as a spyware and then downloaded a virus.

u prolly got one of those annoying gateway spywares that download the other stuff into ur computer (aka - more spyware and sometimes viruses)

as for some of the stuff being deleted, was this b4 or after u ran the program? be careful of the settings being used for that spyware remover cuz i know aim/yahoo/WMP use internet connections.... although... as for mycomputer and ur folders....... those should be working fine unless its somehow locking them... which i doubt..... does it give u any error msgs w/ the folders/mycomputer problem? its prolly a virus in that case if anything...

yeah then its definitely a virus. and this all started when my protection died out.

it was never the spyware or malware (although i don't regret getting rid of them. this whole experience has been very helpful as much as its been a pain in my ass)

all i need to do now is trace and dispose of a virus.

nice. it died out? r u using norton? cuz... i could give u a supscription that lasts until 2021 if you want........ lol
