Well

The last few times I have been Out, I did not touch this journal. Masaharu seemed less than pleased that I even had access to it, so I refrained for his sake. However, I find myself coming back to it. Perhaps I am still trying to fulfill my "purpose". I doubt he'll be any happier about it, but he has no say right now ( Read more... )

Hello, Hiroshi. I do hope it's not too much trouble, but I was wondering if I could get you to keep track of the kittens today? The spare room is nearly done, so I was planning on finishing cleaning it out after classes this afternoon.

I can certainly do that, since it seems I am still Out.

This worries me a little, Yagyuu-san. I've haven't been Out two days in a row in over four years.

I must confess, Hiroshi, it worries me as well. I supposed it's possible that Masa is, in a sense, hiding. We do have a stressful trip coming up soon to try and find his younger brother once I go on summer break from school. We'll have to keep an eye on Nana to see how she handles this, as I fear it will affect her more than Sudoku. By the way, he loves carrots, especially dipped in just a little bit of ranch.

I knew about the trip, but not how much it was bothering him. You're right. If he fears either finding nothing or finding his brother only to face rejection, then he might hide himself for a while to escape the stress.

Nana seems tentatively curious. I think she may wish to stay close to me even though I'm not Masaharu.

Carrots with ranch dip? That's... strange. But I will keep it in mind.

It seems like the most likely explanation. If it makes you feel more comfortable, I can camp out on the couch for a few nights.

As long as she's not hiding and isolating, I think she'll be alright.

It is. I had them one day while studying, and he wanted to try it. He loved it.

If it's not too much, could I trouble you to put the spare bedding through the wash? It's all that's left to get the spare room ready for the mysterious guest that Masa mentioned. All I know is that said guest is the mother of a friend of his.

I don't wish to put you out of your own bed. I can take the couch.

No, she seems to have accepted me, though not to the degree she accepts him.

Oh, I didn't know. I should have asked why you were getting the guest room ready, my apologies. I'll certainly get the bedding washed for you.

Well, perhaps we can take turns, then.

Some is better than none, though I've noticed her being more affectionate with me, as well.

My apologies, I should have specified more.

Day three, and I am still here, Yagyuu-san. I am becoming... alarmed. Perhaps we should see if Tanaka-sensei can schedule us for an emergency visit?

Bugger, today's the day I cannot miss my class. We have a big test to take, but I can call her when I get done if you'd like. Or I can leave her number and you can call? I just realized that it sounds a bit controlling to not even allow you that much. If you want to call and she can fit you in while I'm in class, please don't feel the need to wait for me. But, if you could text me so I'm aware?

I would be willing to call her if you can leave the number. I can text you to let you know what she says.

Certainly. I'll leave the number on the counter.
