Hello Kiddies,
It's been ages since we wrote here and not for a lack of subject material that's to be sure. I'm generally more consistent on other social media, but my 'writing voice' has been itching to get out so there may be a few surprises in store.
2015 was a real bumpy ride here in the HSB, but the dawn of this year has brought with it the promise of better things. I've mostly been laying low while shaking off the winter blues, and I'm feeling better than I have over the past month or so. One thing that definitely improved our worldview was getting our tax refund. The iPod needed replacing because it's just really on its last legs. The battery is shot, the songs are cutting out, and a week ago it stopped syncing completely and froze iTunes every time I connected it. Not to mention it being over capacity. Apple discontinued the iPod Classic and doesn't make a standalone MP3 player worth a shit,
so the void has been filled by some tech savvy music geeks. When I read about the retrofitting old iPods with solid state flash drives up to 1TB and new higher MAH batteries, my heart sang a happy song and I went to eBay to look around and
found a gem. It's been syncing all day and I can now start putting back some of the music I deleted over the past year when I reached the old iPod's capacity.
A few other nice things have come as well, and we'll get on to those in due time. One of the few good things to come out of last year was my reclaiming my love of live music. This week I got a chance to see Black Sabbath on a stop at Madison Square Garden on their final tour. It was an awesome show chocked from beginning to end with Sabbath classics and even some deep cuts. Much better than when I saw them in Philly a few years ago. The last run of shows is this Summer, so if they pass by you should definitely take a chance to see them one last time. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again soon. I'll leave you with a Sabbath snippet from their last video release.
