Hello Kiddies,
November seems to have blown it's way in rather quickly (insert weather joke here), and while the bitch known as Sandy threw everything outta whack, we took our lickin and kept on kickin!
kalita82 arrived with little fanfare and has settled in nicely. Our apartment was supposed to have been ready but all the crazy put that on hold. I heard from the landlord today and we're going to see the place tomorrow and see what needs to be done. Hopefully we'll be all done with it and ready to move in by Dec 1.
We managed to get to GKE with little issue and it was really an awesome time. Saw old friends, made new ones, and had the usual amount of frivolous debauchery. I also collared someone. Yes, you read that right. The LFP was a week later, and had enough gas to make it far enough in NJ where there were no issues. We brought back a reserve tank that will get us through the end of the shortage.
Work is insane and since our warehouse is on the pier we lost over 50 trucks to the storm surge. They replaced them with rentals from Penske and Ryder and these fuckers are HUGE! 13 feet high, 50 footers. They were designed more for heavy freight than local deliveries so it's a bit harder to maneuver. Still we managed to get out 140 trucks a day anyway and the season is just getting started!
Kali and I attended our first concert as a couple last night. We saw the amazing Grace Potter and the Nocturnals at the Beacon Theatre. I saw her last year, right before the slip. They put on a great show and GP was just a ball of energy. This was one of the big numbers. I'll take that Medicine. ;)
