You couldn't bring back bell-bottoms and platform shoes?
Because a Hurricane, Snowstorm, and Presidential Election weren't stressful enough. We now have a gas shortage. With no clear end in sight.
You know there's no one who loves '70's nostalgia more than me obviously. But gas lines? Plate rationing? It's 1979 all over again. Fantastic. You know, until you lose it you never appreciate your freedoms. Having to make conscious decisions not to do the things you want to do because you need the gas to get to work. Not realizing that I had even plates, I unwisely opted not to fill my about half full tank today because the odd/even plate system starts tomorrow. I was planning to go to DC this weekend, but I might not have enough to make it far enough out to fill up. Still, it's only a temporary inconvenience right? Who knows, with the wonderful energy policies of our newly re-elected administration, 1970's gas lines could be making a nationwide comeback very soon only with much higher prices. Everybody dance!
