October Con-Con-Con!

Hello Kiddies,

First off, Today's Quotes:

"Almost all absurdity of conduct arises from the imitation of those whom we cannot resemble."
-- Samuel Johnson

"You cannot shake hands with a clenched fist."
-- Indira Gandhi

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."
-- George Bernard Shaw

"Cynicism is an unpleasant way of saying the truth."
-- Lillian Hellman

"A lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."
-- Fats Domino

Now that we have wisdom out of the way, on to frivolity. It's been an insanely busy month and we haven't even thought about Halloween yet. Two weekend long conventions in a row will take their toll on your body, mind, and wallet. Fortunately, they are all (mostly) none the worse for wear, or at least not noticeably so. Here's a few bullet pointed tidbits.

Came back from DC in decent shape and I now have to find a Wegmans in decent driving distance so I can get more of their cute and addictive sparkling fruit juice cans.

New York Comic Con was amazing as usual. I had a 3 day pass but had to skip Saturday due to a scheduling conflict and a super secret mission. I was able to give a powerful and attractive man my pass for the day which he genuinely appreciated. I can never properly thank him for his wonderful turns toward me anyway.

Photo-blogging via LJ has always been somewhat cumbersome, so I have a Tumblr for sharing photos that I update via Instagram. It also updates my Twitter. There's pictures of Comic Con, the KISS Shows and Expo, various shots of the goodies I bring the imbibing masses, and assorted reblogs. I also posted a shot of the mystery souvenir! :)

One amusing thing we did at NYCC was join a new site in beta called Fandom Dating. I'm not sure what will come of it, but it can't hurt to have another social network designed to attract female companionship. :)

Yesterday was the 35th Anniversary of the release of KISS Alive II. Most people know that it was the first record I ever owned, and since the date of my receiving said record has been lost to time, it's as close as we can get to commemorating that special day. See this entry from a few years ago for a nice Alive II tribute post I wrote.

Finally, one of my favorite Bunny Crushes has finally made her return. The beautiful Haydn Porter who first came to our attention a number of years ago has become a Playboy Cyber Girl! Her turns as Coed of the Week, and later Coed of the Month in 2007 were amazing but she only did sporadic work for them after that. Her new photos show off new flaming red hair and the same killer figure and the smile that makes you weak in the knees. I hope this is the start of much more work for her and that she gets her truly deserved turn as an Official Playboy Playmate! We'll go with a behind the scenes vignette of her shoot as today's video, because October needs a little heating up!

And if there are any aspiring Bunnies out there, Playboy is doing an open casting call in New York this week!

Oh yeah. There's another very special date coming up in our life. October 27th. Life's gonna get real interesting after that. :)
