Quick Cuts: January Edition
Hello Kiddies,
Here's some internet minutiae.
Apparently there's riots in the streets in Egypt and it's gotten so bad the entire country 'shut off' the internet. Unrest in a Middle-Eastern country? No, the next thing you're gonna tell me is that Facebook changed something or there's gonna be snow this winter.
New York and the Eastern seaboard are now looking at the heaviest snowfall on record. At this point I fully expect there to be snow on the sidewalks by Easter that was still there from Christmas.
The normally more astute people of Dallas have decided to give Gene Simmons they key to their city. Mr. Simmons will no doubt respond by charging residents to enter it and buy a 'Special Limited Edition' KISS lockpick.
Speaking of which, today is one of my major KISS Anniversaries, as I went to see them on the Crazy Nights tour.
Wizard Magazine abruptly decided to stop publication of its major magazines and concentrate on conventions. Obviously ruining the comics industry through speculation and saturation was accomplishment enough and now it can join Creation Entertainment as a fan-gouging enterprise.
WWE's annual Royal Rumble is tomorrow and will for the first time include 40 participants. Whether that will make it any better is anyone's guess but at least it should keep a few guys from getting released until Monday. ;)
