2010: Pete's Odyssey - The Beginning

Hello Kiddies,

As my favorite African exchange student would say, Ho Ho Ho Merry New Year! Welcome to the New Decade and I hope nice things are in store for every one of you.
We rang in this new year very quietly and without much fanfare (cue orchestra?). New Year's Day was spent with the annual gathering of extended family. Vincent and I played alot and he was just a joy to be around. My cousin has a Wii, so I downloaded some old-school Nintendo games to the Virtual Console. I have to admit that while I am not a fan of most of the Wii style of gaming, having hundreds of console and arcade classics would actually make me think about buying one! They probably have an adapter for my Tankstick too. I planned to go to a far-away show New Year's Day Night but the energy was not there. In retrospect, that was the right decision.
There was more fun stuff over the weekend too. A trip to the 'Who Shot Rock & Roll?' exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum (which I will see again), and Avatar in 3D (which I will not).
Today I saw 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' at a matinee which was at least not on a wall this time. In other New Year's news, I caught Kitty in the wild finally, and I decided to go to Arisia. More on those later. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Fingerpoke of Doom, and I'm amused that WCW TNA has decided to celebrate it properly. I really thought Dixie Carter was smarter than that. Either way I am gonna enjoy seeing Bret Hart's return. Sorry Hulk, the Monday Night Wars ain't coming back. :)

The season of insanity that is known as 'The Holidays' is over. I'll drink to that. It's gonna be a good year.

new years, holidays
