Hello Kiddies,
Once again the weekend is upon us and not a moment too soon! We kicked it off early today with a rare big screen showing of Planet of the Apes
at the Ziegfeld as part of their 'Hollywood Classics' series. I had never seen it in a theatre so I was glad for the opportunity. It's amazing that movie is 40 years old, it always seems like new. I guess why they call it timeless.
Tomorrow night, it's off to
the Nokia Theater for Ace Frehley and his smoking guitar! Tixx are still available for those interested.
Finally, this Saturday will be the first of what will hopefully be a long running tradition. The powerful and attractive
evilsausage and myself will be hosting a Bad Movie Marathon!
The fun starts at 2PM with a special matinee showing of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, with others equally horrific to follow! Movies will be running consistently so just show up whenever, bring a snack, beverage or friend, but make sure you take them home with you! (The friends that is, you can leave the snacks and beverages.)
The main features in the evening portion of our program, will be the campiest films of all time! On the heels of its successful run at the St. Marks Theater, we are proud to host an encore showing of KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park! Following immediately will be our main feature, the infamously bad Plan 9 from Outer Space! The main features will be preceded by a surprise showing of a truly awful film as yet undetermined.
Please RSVP to either
evilsausage or myself, and come and join the fun at the Sausage House (damn that sounds dirty)!
