Just got back from doing Prefect duty for the School's production Of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour dreamcoat.
It was good! It was utter-shite camp nonsense, but It was so much fun to watch and I really enjoyed it! And the odd Cast Member can really sing.
It was worth it just too see Mrs Beaumont (food tech teacher, used to be my head of year until they scrapped Year's for houses - bad move, she's a Ledge! She always has cameo comedy parts in school shows.) as Potifer's wife. In the show Potifers wife kind of rapes Joseph which gets him sent to prison. A lad in my year called Bondie (AKA Theres Only One Straight Joseph) was Joseph so THAT was really funny if not very wrong!
Also, Mr Nesbo who's one of the really strict IT teachers played Pharoah! Which was a very odd thought. I didnt know it was him because it wasn't the kind of thing you'd expect him to do!
And Mr O'brien was Jacob.
But yeah, I really enjoyed it! When the cast signalled the orcestra after their bows I scream "OMG JENNY RIGBY BABBBBZZZ I LOVE YAAAHHH!" cos she was in the orchestra. One old man fell asleep!
So yes, my duties were, greeting people, ripping ticket stubbs, getting extra chairs, and collecting donations as people were leaving.
When I spotted Jen coming out I started singing The Money Song from Avenue Q which is like Give Us Your Moneyyyyyyyy! All that you gotttttttt! Just Fork It On Overrrrrrrr! OR SOME PUPPETS WILL GET SHOT! It's time to pass the hat! and there's not much you can do 'bout that! etc.
Me and Jen singing that got 2 £5 notes put in the bucket so we must have been doing something right :D
But no, I really enjoyed it! I think I might do another duty on Friday and watch it again!
