The head VMD programmer loaned me Peter van der Linden's
Expert C Programming. The cover is just such a classic case of geek humor; I see at least three levels:
-Deep "C" secrets (haha, it's a fish, C secrets)
-The fish on the cover is a coelacanth (hehe, he said "C" again)
-The coelacanth is a living fossil (hehe, just like the C language)
There's something about that kind of multilayered humor that I really like.
Anyway... other than that I'm boring (how sad is it that a programming book brings out my interesting thought of the day?). We're still going nuts getting ready for the site visit. Exactly two weeks from now, the site visit committee will show up, give us a set of questions at 8 pm, and expect answers at 8 am the next morning. Followed by the presentations we're currently preparing.
