As francopoli once told me, there's nothing more surreal than seeing 200 anime nerds cutting a rug to "Cruel Angel's Thesis."

This is one of my top anime songs, and one of my favorite opening credits. While the first bit's a little boring, I love the syncopation at the end, the cuts not quite with the beat when things flash across the screen. I often forced people to watch it multiple times when I dragged them back to my apartment after a night of drinking.
