This weekend I've been pushing a lot of independence for Quinn. This morning I made her go into the gas station to get a bottle of milk for herself. "Dad, I don't want a milk." "Quinn, take the money, go in and get a bottle of milk. I don't care if it's chocolate if you want." "Are you going to stay here?" "Yes, I'm going to stay here and finish pumping gas. Now go."
Then, we stopped for lunch at Papa John's for pizza, and I made her go in and pick it up. "What should I say?" "Is our pizza ready?" "How will they know whose it is?" "Because we ordered it 11 to 12 minutes ago."
Now, I'm making pork chops, and she's making the peanut butter cookies by herself. More dough is going into her mouth than the cookie sheet, but I gave up trying to stop that.
