Everyone on here is so helpful. this is about a stray here at our house. He is the most loving adorable cat i've ever met. i want what is best for him - so does anyone that meets him. you will totally fall in love with him if you meet him.
the problem is this:
we live in the country so we're thinking he might've been hit by a car - or gotten into a fight, or attacked. i don't know. he doesn't put any weight on his front right paw. it just hangs there when he walks, it litterally hangs there. when you go touch it, or move it around he doesn't cry out in pain when you move his arm. you can see though that it doesn't move like it should.. i'm thinking it might be dislocated. it seems lifeless.
i don't know what to do - i really like this cat... but i can't afford to help him. i spoke to the vet and they said he could have nerve damage and might not even feel pain. he also said there is chance it would need to be amputated if there is nerve damage. he also said that he could just have an abscess and to feel for scabs. i didn't feel any scabs. there could endless possibilities...
his arm is noticablly swollen. its strange because he runs around outside while holding the paw up. he rolls on his back - the arm just flops... i'm so afraid if it is to be amputated he'll be put to sleep because he'll have special needs. i'd love him for sure, but i can't afford to help him. it breaks my heart.
are there any organizations that can help me? i live in central ohio. email me @ imforpeace@gmail.com.
thanks for any help.
i wish i could afford to help him :{
