Well, I went for a 1-hour walk yesterday after work. Felt good to get back out there and get some fresh air.
At work, the new executive director has started with us full time this week. She is getting a little overwhelmed, I think. She's taking over a badly listing ship that was essentially without a captain for the past 2 1/2 years.
The thorn-in-my-side PR director has been stuck to the new director like a tick all week. Every time any of us turn around, she's in the director's office with the door shut. Oh well, if she's converting her to the dark side, it's not my business. I had hoped she was smart enough not to let the old biddy wrap her around her finger. We shall see. In the meantime, I'm just going to do my job.
This idiot just gets under my skin. Yesterday, one of my branch managers e-mailed me that she had received a jury summons. When I was not available when she called about it, she was referred to the new director. She faxed the summons to the director, and the nosy PR bitch saw it on her desk. She offered to ingratiate herself to the director by calling the circuit clerk to get the staff member out of jury duty. When I protested that this was a matter I should have taken care of as her supervisor, PR bitch got all bent out of shape. I had to eat crow, though, and ask her to call the clerk for me, since she knows everybody. She said she was doing it because the director asked her to do it. Whatever. She is such a bitch-cunt.
On Wednesday, the director sent her home early because she was "stressed out" because of all we have coming up. What a wuss! I try to be professional with her, but she doesn't know the meaning of the word. She is a back-stabbing, conniving old maid cunt. Fortunately, she is also nearing retirement age, and coughing out her lungs every day.
'Til next time...
