I need somebody to love...

Nothing to say really, but I have a pressing need to discuss Across the Universe.
Kind of.
I went home this weekend, went to homecoming on Friday night. It was...um...yeah. High school. I think we won, but who knows. There was a new garden thing, and some tables by the bleachers. It looked really nice actually. Went to Starbucks with some people I don't usually see (namely Kevin, Diana, Kendra) and Heather.
The next day was spent doing nothing much. I went out to dinner with my aunt and brother, and Mary and I saw Across the Universe at 10PM.

I really don't know how I feel about the movie. I really loved some scenes, and really hated some scenes.

In soundtrack order...

Across the Universe: It was okay, the hindu people on the train was a little strange...
Hey Jude: I liked this scene a lot, even the cheesy bar part.
With a Little Help From My Friends: One of my favorite scenes, I loved it.
I've Just Seen a Face: I think my all time favorite scene from the movie. I love the song (never heard the Beatles version before) and it was just so feel-good and happy.
Dear Prudence: My other favorite scene, for feel-goodness.
Strawberry Fields Forever: Not one of my favorites, the media was kind of strange and the war imagery depressing and just...it was too noisy for me.
Black Bird: The scene was okay, nothing special, but I love love love ERW's rendition of the song.
I am the Walrus: I hated this scene, actually. Way too trippy. But I love that they get on a bus, with Bono, and wind up in the middle of nowhere...
I Wanna Hold Your Hand: The arrangement itself is okay, but I hated this scene too. Especially when she's walking slow-mo through the football field.
Come Together: Weird, but I liked the hookers and the pimp and the weird dancing...
I Want You/She's So Heavy: So strange, but I liked it a lot...
Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite: .....I hated it. Maybe not as much as the Bono scene, but...really....what??
Helter Skelter: I liked it in the intro, and the movie scene.
Oh Darling: I actually really enjoyed this scene too.
All You Need is Love: Cute....cheesy....but cute...

The music itself is generally good. I can't stop listening to "I've Just Seen a Face".

Essentially I was either thinking "I LOVE THIS", "...eh...", or "I really hate this" the whole time. I don't know how to describe it any better. I think I'd have to see it again. NOT for 10 dollars though!
