New Paltz...it's the place we live in.

Well well well. I've been wanting to update but I haven't had the time, really. I've been out and about doing things, seeing people...I suppose going to class...
It's been pretty amazing so far.

Move-in day was pretty hectic. I got my parents in and out as fast as possible, because my dad is...my dad. Jordan and Terri were already here because they did Hall Raising, so everything was slightly less hectic with their stuff already in. The room is pretty amazing, a definite improvement over last year. I'm in a mini-loft, which means up in the air but lower than last year. It's nice though, because I have my desk and drawers and everything in a little nook in my own little corner. Jordan is across from me and Terri's bed is on the same side of the room as mine, but at a 90 degree angle. We have our own bathroom and a closet-chest each. Best of all...the furniture is new and I don't have to struggle to pull my drawers open like in Bliss last year.
Lenape is bliss compared to Bliss.

So. That being said...what have I been up to? Well. I moved in on Tuesday and then spent the afternoon with Becky and co. We played some Guitar Hero over in Lefevre. Becky's suite is 302, right next to where the 303 girls were last year. Memories!
Jeff was here that day, so around 5 or 6 we went out to Pizza Hut for dinner. Yum. We came back, Jeff went off somewhere and I went over to visit the Lefevre girls in their new suite in Deyo. I missed them. :( It was Shannon's birthday so there was cake and....good times. Jeff came over a little after that, and Bianca a little after Jeff. It was like a happy dysfunctional family reunion.
Jeff and I left the girls semi-early and on the way out stopped to see Bianca's suite. Frida Frida was there but Bianca was not. We got to see her room though, which made me LOL because she had so much stuff like all over the place and no where to put it. Poor Frida Frida. :(
Walking back from Deyo towards Lenape was kind of hard, because it was like a typical night last semester where Jeff and I would be leaving the girls and heading back to Bliss together. But it wasn't. I usually don't get sentimental or lost in thoughts, but it just seemed like such a habit to head towards Bliss that I had to remind myself not to go that way.

The next day Terri and Jordan had some Hall Raising duties. Jeff left and I was going to meet Becky and co. for lunch, but the SUB hadn't opened yet and Has was closed because the campus BBQ was going on. So. I wound up with my extra Wrapsody wrap from the day before and everyone else had Ramen. For dinner, Jordan and Terri and I were all supposed to go to Has with some people. We found Chris and Jill on the way out and they joined us. Then when we got to Has there was a line almost out the freaking door. We kind of got split up, but eventually Chris, Jill, Terri, Jordan and I wound up at a table together. Dinner was amazing, because...it was Has. And Has makes me laugh, because...it does. It's the dining hall. It's just...funny.
After dinner Chris and Jill came over and we had some interesting fun with Terri's webcam, as seen on facebook. Terri, Jordan and I have passed many hours, thus far, screwing around with the webcam. GOOD TIMES.
After that we had a hall meeting. It was...interesting. No more illegal downloads allowed. New Paltz can check. Ew. Also, we met a freshie! He is a cute freshie and we should adopt him and his name is Devon. Whoot. Also also, Wyatt is our RA. Yeah Wyatt. Go Wyatt.

Thursday was the first day of classes. I had an 8:30, a 12:30 and a 3:30. I was exhausted the entire day and I don't know why.
My 8:30 is "The Holocaust". I swear, my professor is Alfred Molina in Fiddler on the Roof with the looks of Harvey Firestein. He said "schlep" and "...on the other hand...on the other hand...". It was amaaazing.
Brie is in my 12:30 (Postwar America: 1945-Present). My adviser is my prof.
My 3:30 was Ancient Egypt with VINSON! I missed professor sweater. I had such flashbacks to last year. I think he kind of recognized me. It's start, right?
For lunch I met Terri and Jordan and Chris and a bunch of others. I waited forever for my labretti and then...I dropped it on the floor. Mmhm. The amazing Pandini's lady made me a new one, no cost. I want to buy her candy or something. She gave me a free soda once too. It was awesome.

That night we did Oscars for dinner. I must say, my philly cheese steak was everything I had been wishing for and more. Oh Oscars. Chris came back to the room after and Jordan, Terri and I watched "Hot Fuzz". I really liked it (FOR THE GREATER GOOD). It surprised me how much I LOLd. Terri, Chris and I also played some old skool video games (prepare to qualify).
We took a drive to McDonalds after for snack wraps. And a McChicken for Terri. Mmm.

Today Chris, Terri and I went to Panera for lunch and the Poughkeepsie Galleria. Chris and I played the best game ever (one we're BOTH good at), House of the Dead. Needless to say, it is a zombie shooting game. We plan to get together some money and go and just play the hell out of it at some point.
I did a bad thing and bought seasons 1-3 of Sex and the City. They were on sale for 20 each. Terri bought a new edition of LIFE, which was AMAZING. It's all digital. Chris, Terri and I had an awesome match when we got back. Then we headed to Oscars for some dinner and played a little Phrase Frenzy in the Has computer lab!

And now, here I am, cold and debating as to whether I want to watch some Sex or not. I think I will.
