going cyber

Feb 23, 2009 21:10

Almost everyday, i travel to a desert of dust when the Sun is at its highest just to be in my new school, San Sebastian-Recoletos, to continue my study of law. the school is fun, except the part that i have to commute for at least an hour to be there. at first, i thought of it as the punishment for my debarment from UST.

however, i realized eventually that it is actually a way for me to be more exposed to the outer world. traveling from home to blumentritt, to avenida, to recto, and to other places made me wiser on routes and directions.

moreover, transferring from one school to another turned out to be good for me. aside from knowing how to get to new places, i am able to meet new people as well. the change of environment, although not better than that of UST, is also socially positive. all in all, being where i am now isn't bad after all.

once again, i hibernated from the cyber world in the midst of summer. the power supply of my computer, incapable of sustaining my computer, forced me to take a break from my usual activities involving the use of computer, specifically blogging and working online.

however, now that the computer's power supply have been upgraded and the system reformatted (yet, again), i am now reviving my online accounts especially my blog.

so, here i am. once again.

New School, New Life

it turned out that i am doing good in my new school. my former law school, which dumped me, was an eye-and-mind opener to what law school really is, on how it differs from college, and what study habit should be observed. maybe that is why i am doing better in San Sebastian.

my recitations, as far as i am aware, are all fair with the exceptions to those of Administrative Law under Judge Sabio. with my preliminary exams, of the five subjects that have the said exam, three have been given back to the students. out of the four, i managed to pass two of those: Persons and Family Relations under Dr. Lopez-Rosario and Administrative Law. i thought i will not be able to pass my prelims in Admin law, but i did, luckily. hopefully, i'll be able to pass all of my subjects this semester.

and i realized that surviving in law school really involves 50 percent of hard work and 50 percent of good luck.

Cabal, Online Game

although my computer at home was dead for many months, i did not left the cyber world. in fact, i entered one virtual reality through the online game Cabal.

the characters and graphics captivated me to start an account and try it. and after a short while, i got hooked. i am still hooked. i love my character, which is a Force Blader.

L to R: force shielder, warrior, wizard, blade dancer, force blader, force archer

i also started playing Left4Dead, in which players kill zombies. it is is a good stress-buster game.

in sum, i am doing well in life. everything is going steady: with my studies, with my social life and with Vintage. the principle now is, Ora et labora. perfect balance.
