HYPOTHESIS Females in a male-majority group tend to be involved in a monogamous relationship with a higher probability than the general population. More often than not, the relationship is with a male in said group.
EVIDENCE CS 198/106 program. Total individuals: 90. Number of females: 9. Number of males: 81. Number of females involved in a monogamous relationship (to the best of my knowledge): 4. Number of females whose significant other is in the CS 198/106 program: 4.
DISCUSSION Clearly, there are not enough sample points for this to be representative of anything. Nevertheless, a few interesting questions are raised. Firstly, is 44% high? Are there other examples or counter-examples? Does a similar situation hold for males in a female-majority group? How does the size of the group influence the result?
