I think i'm a little broken...

My life has been a tad chaotic this past month. I am currently residing in Eastbourne having moved  back here in the middle of July, although i am planning on getting out as soon as humanly possible.
The place drives me crazy...and i mean really sort of 'cluck cluck gibber gibber i'm either a mushroom or a purple slug on a sugar rush' kind of crazy.
Unfortunately this is proving more difficult than anticipated as i have been rejected for both the MA courses i have applied to in Exeter.  So ok fair enough the academic world have told me to sod off, i'll just get a job. Except of course that the jobs i'm actually qualified for are extremely rare or require at least 6months experience working for construction companies doing rescue archaeology. To gain this experience the only way possible is as an unpaid volunteer doing all the physical work no one else wants to do. Fantastic prospect that is.... i'll just live on mud-pie while i do that shall i. Don't think so. So looks like my degree was utterly pointless really as whatever i do now looks to be something i could have done 3years ago without this rather expensive piece of paper i now possess. Ah well there are plans afoot which i shan't reveal til more things are worked out so all may not be lost.
Oops i seem to be a little bitter. i do apologise.
Anyway despite this rather crap situation i have had a lovely couple of weeks with

mendees , the last camping in Sidmouth for the folk festival which we were both stewarding.  Much lovely music, much rather dangerous scrumpy, the pyrates went down well with lots of people, saw john tams (Hagman in Sharpe...which i have been obsessed with for years..oh dear), some spinning, polka-ing and stripping the willow etc etc. Left me knackered though as we were camping on a sodding slope, squeezeboxes and badly played flutes could be heard all night and i drank too much in the hot sun.
Lots else has happend but i can't remember half of it as my head is broken so lastly, congratulations to the Pyrates for winning the Okehampton battle of the bands on saturday! Very proud of you tim!
