The melancholy I spoke of before was made worse by the sickening of one of my kittens. I had bought the supposedly uberwonderful organic kitten chow recommended by the folks at monsterpets. My housemate decided to try the same brand's adult indoor cat formula. Her cats rejected it. She had never seen so poor a reaction to food from them. Mine

the kittens are improving drastically. only 1 is itty bitty, the other 2 are fairly normal. the itty bitty's name is minnow, and she is responding beautifully to Science Diet. I am alternating wet kitten food, same brand, with meat baby food, which they think is manna from heaven-and it helps prevent diarrhea. I will say that it gets pricey-it costs more than fancy feast! On the plus side, once minnow is back to full weight, I can rely more on dry food. I gave them a treat yesterday. I made tuna, and I poured some of the tuna juice over the dry food. they went nuts for it.
I am also glad things are a bit hopeful for you. I was really happy to see you had bought a house. I looked for you on facebook, but I didnt' see you. Also I really don't like the interface of facebook. I really prefer the GUI and privacy options of LJ better. Actually my favorite interface is ravelry.
I will try to call you soon, when I have time for a good sit down. Is there a better day or time for you?
