Must say that I disagree strongly with this idea that if a man is seen on holiday reading Potter or anything by Tolkien, that it'd be a turn-off for the opposite sex.
I, personally, would make a beeline for the man reading either and would run faster than a lemming during cliff-diving season from any man reading Bronte, which the article suggested as being acceptable amd "sensitive".
Can you imagine having a relationship with a man who's discovered that he feels a deep and strong connection with Heathcliffe? *shudders* Can we spell S-T-A-L-K-E-R?
But that could just be because I despise anything written by any member of that manic-depressive family.
And possibly beacuse I'm a dork.
