Omigod, someone get me a diaper 'cause I'm about to wet myself with happiness...
I was just down in Borders, because, well I'm bored and I picked up a magazine I had never seen before in the film section called Xposé. Of course, the gorgeous face of Dan Radcliffe on the cover might have initially drawn me to it, but it's what was inside that sent me to the moon!
According to Bob Shaye from new Line Cinemas, they do indeed have a desire to make The Hobbit. He says that there are plans underway and that it will almost certainly be under the same production team and most importantly, will have Peter Jackson at the helm once again. Of course, he's busy right now with Kong and another project, so it will be quite a while, but OMIGOD!!
This has seriously made my day. Even if I'm the last person in the world to hear about it, I am in the throes of giddiness.
I am going to work my ass off for the next two years, I am going to bribe everyone in the New Zealand Immigration office. I will work as the lowliest foam latex mixer if only it will allow me to be a part of the production design of this film.
