(no subject)
I need a new laptop. Badly. This one just can't keep up with the number of programmes I want to run. There was an update on the 3D modeller that I use last night and now it can't even run that solo. And now it's just had an eppy fit and shut down another programme that I was using and utterly obliterated the last couple of hours work. RAGE! Thankfully it was nothing important, just some design work for a website I've been tinkering with. Nevertheless, there is much frustration in this room right now. All the things I want to be doing with my Sunday afternoon and I'm not sure that this damn thing is going to be able to do any of it.
It may be time, heaven forbid, to get another PC. This is a pain.

Also, the interview went extremely well and it came down to two of us. They went with the other guy though because he had prior experience with their database system and more geotechnical background. Which is fine by me, I don't mind missing out to someone who can do something that I've never turned my hadn to before. Still, very pleased with the outcome considering it was a fairly impulse application in the first place. Shame about not getting the pay rise though, things are getting a little tight these days.

In closing; I want an i7 processor. I wants one! 8mb cache? 2.8Ghz? I don't think anyone else will be throwing something in a laptop that'll beat that for a while.
