After two weeks of dating, my girlfriend became my girlfriend. In typical lesbian fashion, she has three cats, more books than clothes, is as cute as a button, a veg head, and I'm completely smitten with her. Now my question is, my co-workers are all scandalized that there were only two weeks between dating and girl friending - what is the typical length of time most couples date before becoming committed? I've only done it lesbian-style (even with the boys I date).
