New journal

So here I am once more, a few months after I deleted my old journal creating a new one. I was an idiot for deleting that one. Years worth of poetry, lyrics, opinions down the drain.

Watching the news right now. A large amount of staff at the National Hurricane Center as so dissatisfied with the current director that they have not only sent a letter to D.C. (personally signed by more then 23 staff members) but also called a news conferance. Some people might think that they should just deal with it, even if they don't like their boss. We need to remember two things here though. First, the staff at the National Hurricane Center consists of only 46 people, including management and the director himself. So that means that if we don't include the current director in the following numbers, a little more then half of the staff is dissatisfied and not afraid to loose their jobs due to their level of dissatisfaction. Second, these are the people responsible for keeping everyone who lives on a coastal state safe. Not just those who live on the Gulf of Mexico, or who live in the south on the Atlantic side (cause remember fuckers, hurricanes have been know to go as far north as England, in the right conditions they go for you up there), or on the pacific coast (yes, they have hurricanes there too) but EVERYONE. This is literally millions upon millions of people. So, I've just got this to say..... I think we ought to keep them happy. Get rid of the current director. Hell, give em a raise for a job well done (they've done a good job predicting where the storm will go and how much damage it could potentially do, it's the local government's job to act upon that info). Just keep these guys happy, cause I myself have gone through so many hurricanes it ain't funny as a result of living in South Florida all my life.

On the topic of the weather, alot of people I've talked to do not seem to realize that most of the nation is going through a draught of some degree or another. What's more amusing is when I talk to someone from a state that is suffering from a major draught, they complain when it's begun to rain recently. I mean, what the fuck? Are you a moron or something? You need the rain. I don't know if you've been following your local water restrictions, but when your state has declaired a state of emergency, it means you are more fucked then you seem to realize. I mean personally, when it rains right now I am fucking estatic. About less then a month ago Lake Okeechobee's water level was about 8 feet deep. 8 fucking feet deep! This is the biggest lake in Florida, the main source of fresh drinking water for us. Ummm....yeah, I am a bit worried. I just checked the current water level, cause it's been raining recently throughout Florida in general and it's still not much better. But atleast we are getting rain. And ya know what? I am fucking hoping a hurricane or four hit us. Yeah, property damage, yeah potential loss of life, including my own. But you know what? I am looking at it this way. First, I rather survive four fucking hurricanes then be told a few years from now that we are out of water. I know that might be a bit extreme, but look at it this way. We don't know that next year will be better. So, when it rains, I rather have it then be fucked in the long run.. For the parched areas, let a bit come at first, then more, and then more, and then more. This helps the land get used to the water again, slowly allowing it to absorb the water instead of it getting soaked all at once and causing flash floods.

Anyways I am done for now. Got a couple of poems I will be posting later.
