After our Point Peron excursion, Jethro and I conducted a scout of an old Dairy Farm on the outskirts of Rockingham.

Setup in the 1920's, the farm was part of a scheme by the the WA government of the time to increase agriculture and provide employment for returned soldiers from WWI

Milking pens

Old style stamped copper sheeting from the roof

We where surprised to find machinery mountings, this may be for an old milking machine

Old style light fixture

THIS is why we tend to wear hard hats on our explorations

It was interesting to see the variety of materials used to build the walls. A micxture of Sandstone blocks, old bricks and concrete in various areas. The collapsed section was a weak point where the concrete met the sandstone.

I swear we get followed around by this damn wizard, he was at the South Fremantle power Station too...!!!

We also where given a rare treat on our way back to the car

This little bloke was happy enough to let us get close enough to take some photos

We will return to the site later to get the farmhouse and anything else we can find.
