What an absolute disappointment, we finally got all the way down and just as the tunnels promised into something good, we found that the authorities had deliberately collapsed the only entrance tunnel and barricaded it. 2 inches of steel plate and at least 40 tonnes of sand and rock can put an end to your fun real damn fast.
On the bright side, we got some lovely shots of the main facility floor in the rain, and inducted two new members.
So welcome and thanks to Heritor and Erin...
Hmmm, this looked awfully promising
But no, after about 100 metres, this was what we found
The loose sand was a bit of a concern. Also the end of the tunnel was heavily blackened, some fool had a fire down there once
On the way back up
And out
We where pleasantly surprised to find this sign HADN'T been tagged over
Generator cradle
We found that a lot of the greenery on the western side was overgrowth from an english cottage style garden planted to pretty the facility up in it's day
At this point, we had a rain squall blow through, giving a nice mist effect through the building
Thats all folks...
Our next site should be the Wattleup Primary School
