Saxophones started blowing me down, I was buried in sound, taxi cabs were driving me around...

You know, this weekend was pretty cool.

Went to Sky Like Skin on friday and Adam Mcgrath opened. Awesome! You know, it takes something special for us to sit down on the carpet in the dux for a gig, I'm sure its quite gross and dirty really. The whole thing was wicked, even the 2 guys who showed up and started dancing infront of us during one of the more rocking songs, who then got invited on stage as back-up dancers. Good old Mr Stripey and Mr Plaid. Mr Plaid was an awesome dancer, he had the whole looking like he was possibly going to fall over on me deal going on at one point, but had wicked balance. And I didn't get kicked in the head :) To sum up, as Robbie and me said, Sky Like Skin is awesome enough, but Adam Mcgrath is just as wicked, possibly better. Best gig I've been to lately that I can think of.

I went to Raewyn from work's 30th birthday on Saturday. It was rather cool. Met up with everybody at Lori's, played singstar a little, then left for Rae's. We had Karaoke fun, which of course, I rocked. I love to sing of course. Drove Karl and Lori home, went back, drove everyone to town. Didn't stay in town that long. Did some taking the piss dancing with Simon and Andy to really bad music. Ended up dropping everyone home, which was a cool drive, nothing like breaking into a singalong of such classics as Handshake Drugs by Wilco. Honestly.

Today I spent a lot of the day on Singstar at work. Al made me wrap some pallets as punishment for it :P

Suzanne (as a certain awesome person, Gemma: Super Amazement Machine calls her, "the shoe whore") gave me and Lori a dirty look at one stage. Then at about quarter to 6 we were on singstar again and she came over to us and said "dont you have anything better to do?" and Lori's like "Ahh, no not really" and Suzanne walked off. Then while she was gone, a customer had came over to watch us, then she came back and as she passed us she goes, "you guys are embarassing the store in front of customers!" or words to that affect and continued walking. Which of course, made us have uncontrollable laughter and the guy behind us goes "yeah, like the store has feelings" and I'm like "look at the Kmart sign, the K has turned red in embarassment." It was all quite funny really. Bottom line is we sold quite a few singstar pop's today and most customers think its great and take the mickey out of you doing it.

Jazz hands, spirit fingers, Bradley.
