True.
Gentle is ideal.

However, I accept that adults need guidance too. Some girlfriends are just too fucking spoiled. It makes them ugly on the inside. Some married men are flirting too much with their waitresses. And they don't really know how to hide it. Whatever sin each person is doing- excluding touching children- it is their chosen sin. Sometimes they need to know what they 'look' like they are doing. It's by no means my responsibility, but it is a good thing to do when you have the energy to give. It saves the girls inner beauty. It saves the wife a little humiliation in the future. It teaches the waitress that she's letting a man get away with a little too much. It teaches everybody when you put one person on the spot. There are ways of doing it and still keep everyone smiling.

People are really stupid and annoying creatures. Because they feel obligated to tell me what/when my flaws show, I feel obligated to help those who I feel need it- see themselves- at the right moment and in an appropriate way. If they're going to play the relationship game, they need to learn how to do it well. A community raises it's children. As well as the adults. We are all retarded.

Texas is very different than Oregon. Down here, people can stand up in a crowd and call bullshit at someone else's table. It's scary at first. But my family is here. I have to get used to it. It's a learned behavior necessary for surviving and defending my own actions in the south.
