I just walked home from the grocery store in the snow. I am inordinately happy.
Other happy things:
- I bought a Yule / Christmas / Winterthing tree today! This is one of my most favorite parts of this time of year. I also bought cranberries to string for decorating it.
- I saw a musical last night about the shooting of Andy Warhol called "POP!" It was a rather impressive convergence of my interests (Andy Warhol, musical theater, radical feminism, post-modernism), and the music was quite good. It was the first staging, and as such, it still needs some work, but all in all - a surreal and excellent experience.
- I have a shiny and newly gessoed canvas for painting! I might even start the underdrawing tonight, depending on how tired I feel.
- It is the season for pumpkin soymilk.
- I get to see the Catherine Opie exhibition at the Guggenheim tomorrow!
- Edited to add one more before I fall asleep in a happy exhausted heap: Prop 8: The Musical
I was going to write more, but alas! Time is short when life is this good! I am in love with the universe today.
