Good: helped LB reach 1,178 words for his high school commencement speech. He is quoting S.E. Hinton and Jay-Z. The phrases "African war drums" and "tug boat through dark waters to sunny beaches" are used. Yesterday I snapped a couple gnarly bee pictures. hi! i hope it does, too. when i talked to the folks at the SBB l&f office, one of the possible matches turned out to be a man's wallet with over 400CHF in it. so seriously -- if 400CHF and credit cards can get turned in, so can my measly floppy, velcro-closured thingie.

incidentally: once upon a time i read the book that your icon comes from.

A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. It's been a few years since I read it (either in 2000 or early 2001), but I remember it was pretty humorous.

i've heard some of his stuff on tape, and remember enjoying it. i think it was pretty funny hearing him read it, so it'd probably be funny to read it myself, too.

I am butting in to say that it's one of my favorite books ever. V. funny and convinced lazy old me that it would be fun to hike the AT someday.
