Number Three!

Oh god umm.

Chii is basically who she is because of Riku?

I'm glad that she's retained her core personality very similar if not identical to the one in Chobits when she was being raised by Hideki-- in a panfandom setting it is deceptively easy to probably drag her off that path, especially since I took her from a point where she had absolutely no memories at all. I think it's also pertinent to strain that Chii is not Chobits' Chii-- she is Island's Chii because of it. Yes, she is mostly the same, but there are some differences. For one? That whole someone just for me thing has... not been an incredibly pressing issue in her life, aside from Freya's urging. She's daring. She has little quirks that she carries with her thanks to influences like Kamina and Flay. But no one has influenced her like Riku has.

Simply put, the idea of a life without him (or Sora or Kairi, for that matter), does not exist to her. The trio is her family, her parents, her elder siblings, however you want to put it. That is why Chii is not accepting the fact that Kairi is gone for good, or that she won't go home with them. But this isn't about Chii or about the OT3 as a whole, it's about Riku.

Going from no memories at all to who Chii is today takes a lot of work. It takes attentiveness, it takes Chii not going off and getting into trouble, it takes patience, and luckily, Riku has had all of that for her. I'm willing to bet that 80% of her vocabulary and skills were taught to her by him, or at least the OT3 in general. It's a bit hard to pin where he falls on how Chii views him. He is family and dearest friend, her closest person-- I don't really want to say the SJFM thing because Chobits' version of love is so... fatalistic that to be honest I'm a little nervous about touching it. But while she loves Sora and Kairi and Freya very, very much, if it was Riku she ever lost, it would totally break her ( like so). So I guess it is kind of like that, in a strange way.

She'll believe anything he says, follow him anywhere, and he is at the very top tier of people she will listen to/obey/etc. She wants to make him happy and proud of her. She wants to do that for everyone, but--! Riku is special. Very special. So no matter what, he is always number 1.
