I have to wake up at seven tomorrow, for I am working the morning shift at Joe Marty's. It's not so bad, though, because I'm going to be making intense tips.
Ryan, my best friend since middle school (as well as my ex boyfriend) called me this evening and reminded me of something my mother once said to me.
"The company you keep should always know words that you aren't familiar with--those are the people that have lived through experiences that would be beneficial to you--people that have something to offer you, personally."
I wonder if that's true. It certainly seems like it could be.
I love my mother. You know, she was an art major at UC Davis and once did this huge, lifelike sculpture of an ostrich. It's in the front window of the house to this day. SHe also painting a big fire-breathing dragon over the fireplace that I like.
My next door neighbor, Patrick, apparently had another guy living with him. Once of those older fellows that fancies himself worldy and wise...perhaps he is. Anyway, while talking my ear off on the balcony/porch, he mentions that he really admires the lyrics of my songs and often listens to me singing through the walls of the bathroom.
THANKS, MR. CRAZY.

Does anyone have an old sewing machine that they either don't want any more or would sell to me cheap? I really need one. Well, let me know.
