Check it out: I work 20 hrs/week as Production Manager for YTN. I teach 5 hours/week. I am in rehearsal 15 hours/week. And none of that includes my prep time for classes, my emailing as a Stage Manager, production meetings, my activities for Ray Burley Productions, nor my bonus substituting and extra teaching that I tend to do each week. And I'd really like some time in which to prepare for an audition or 2. All told, probably around 50-some hrs/week that I actually have to be in a certain place at a certain time.
Mind you, I'm not complaining so much as realizing why I never feel like I have much time.
I was unaware, 'cause I figured "Oh, I only work 20 hours a week, plus a little teaching on the side" But it just isn't so.
