Lately, I've been thinking about which superheroes our heroes like, and I've come up with this:
Sylar loved Deadpool ever since he discovered the comics in the early 1990s, when he was in his teens. Deadpool was brand new back then. Eventually, though he was never really sure why, he had this fantasy where he would run off with Deadpool and they'd have morally grey adventures---after they ditched Cable, of course. So when Sylar saw X-Men: Origins---Wolverine, he was naturally very angry about what they'd done to his wonderfully chatty mercenary. When he found those screenwriters, he'd...Well, hopefully, the spin-off film would be better. It had to be, or Ryan Reynolds would pay...
Claude loves Batman. Always has, always will. He's not conservative or anything, but he just likes Batman's style---the disappearing, the random dispensing of justice, and most of the bad guys getting what they deserve. Claude has seen every Batman movie on the first day during the first showing---yes, even the dreaded Batman and Robin. He took Noah to that one (as he had with Batman Returns and Batman Forever), and they made fun of the whole thing (and even got the gaggle of teenagers next to them to join in). Claude thought that film was simply hysterical, but he prefers the newer films now. Guess which one's his favorite.
Peter loves Spiderman, probably because they're both named Peter, and they're both lean and slightly wimpy but still attractive geeks. Peter dressed up as Spiderman for Halloween for five years in a row when he was a little kid, until Angela put her foot down and made him pick something else.
Nathan was never that into superheroes, but he likes Cyclops from X-Men. Cyclops is the one with the glasses, he's pretty sure...
Claire used to want to be Supergirl, until she actually developed superpowers. Then she didn't know what Supergirl was so perky about.
Noah always liked both Superman and Batman. One had powers and the other didn't, but they managed to work together when they had to, and he never really could decide whom he liked more.
Daphne liked Wonder Woman. Sure, she was a bit too perfect, but apparently, she could run really fast and beat up Superman at least her accessories could. Daphne wanted that---strength and speed. And one day, she got the speed, so she never stopped running, the way Wonder Woman didn't stop in her first issue.
