[oh. Minato remembers this boy, too. likewise, very hard to forget someone that had been in such bad shape, and Westport was pretty much burned into his memory - so he offers a slight smile at the wave and returns it with one of his own.]

Yep! She's my guardian too. She's always with me unless I tell her to scout ahead or something.

[she is probably hanging out somewhere behind/above him if Minato can see spirits, but she's tiny so easy to miss...]

[really, he kind of thinks Horo means.... parental guardian. and though he can't exactly see spirits, he does have some degree of experience with them - a friend visited him not long after he'd died - so he can kind of tell... something is there, and frowns.]
