Music Snobbery

Feb 06, 2009 00:54

After yoga today, I was sitting in a japanese resteraunt with pops and the television was on. Tuned to some television station...that continuously blasted my senses with horrible music. So I've decided it's time for one of those backwards, "hey, wait: who the hell is this guy again and why does his opinion matter to me?" anti-everything blogs.
First of all: Fall Out Boy. They made some song about, "not caring," or something. I was trying my hardest not to pay attention. Thanks though, Fall Out Boy. I'm all over this song about not caring about what people think. I would expect as much from the pop punking, cabbie hat wearing, genre exploiting/ruining (take your pick--and no they're not emo. Stop reading Alternative Press), B-List celebrity marrying pricks. How much were you not caring what people thought when you slipped in that bad-ass cell phone product placement? Assholes...

Anberlin was on the radio tonight. I'm not sure if the song was new or old. If it is new then Anberlin has gotten very generic. Hehe, n'ah I'm kidding. Anberlin has ALWAYS been generic. I propose this to you, the reader

Anberlin:Formula::Carpenter:Wood

You're using it...alot...like, EVERYday....

Coldplay has a new song out. I have 10 reasons why I wish Chris Martin had NOT been born.
1) I hate Coldplay
2) I hate Coldplay
3) I hate Coldplay
4) I hate Coldplay
5) I hate Coldplay
6) I hate Coldplay
7) I hate Coldplay
8) I hate Coldplay
9) I hate Coldplay
10) ...um...I couldn't think of a good 10th reason

Last but not least? Kings of Leon: shut-up.
Please and thank you.

Thanks for reading...not really, it's not like you did me any favors or anything.
